Quite continental

Soon, I'll be able to stand up a little straighter while lying about being a worldly jet-setter...because it won't be shameful, filthy lies for much longer.

Pictured above: my first passport

Our upcoming itinerary currently includes
Prague, Salzburg, Bratislava, Munich (for a football match), and Budapest.

This is pretty close to the top of the list of things that are as completely exciting as possible.

Will I be insufferable when I get back?
Only time will tell.

When are you going? I need to know so I can rearrange all your plant life (and in some cases replace it with the carnivorous kind).

After the wedding! But your plant hijinx are already foiled because I have trained them all to attack you specifically.

This is more serious in some cases (Hurty) than in others (The Professor)

Eastern Europe better watch out, because awesome is fast approaching.

I've bribed both Diamond Lil and The Emerald City to sway the others in my favor. I have a Master's in internecine plant warfare.

Sorry to be meta again rather than commenting on the post itself but — you appear to have changed something so your newsfeed no longer contains the full text of the posts. Was that on purpose? (And could you turn it back if not? I'd be very grateful.)

This will require a little investigating, as I have not changed anything, although I have noticed blogger being a little 'weird' recently (my side-boxes went away for a while...then came back.)

It is fixed. Thank you most kindly, mylady!

I would prefer to take credit for it, but I didn't do anything. I guess blogger has little occasional burps or digestive upsets.

man, i haven't read the internet in forever. i just wanted to say that salzburg is beautiful, but stuffy, expensive, and boring. it was kind of like disneyland with more german-speaking. however, on the very bright side, prague is one of maybe three places that has ever made me feel truly insignificant in the greater scheme of time, progress, and worldly beauty.

i am really interested to hear how bratislava is.

i think you will have a really really rad trip.

That is interesting information, and makes me a little sad. I would like to go down to Croatia, actually, but it's not convenient this particular trip.

Since I haven't been anywhere, though, it will all be pretty incredibly exciting. I'm looking forward to Budapest as much as Prague.

(sad about Salzburg, I mean - not that I won't be happy to have gone there, but it's possible I will form the same opinion as you)

prague will make up for salzburg. plus, it's not like salzburg SUCKS, i was just disappointed with what i regardred as its lack of authenticity and its unfortunate hypercatering to tourists.

if it's worth anything (it's not), i've heard vienna is more... good. more good.

Vienna we are going to - I forgot that back when I wrote this.
