Eating carrots actually makes you hungrier than you were before you started eating carrots. It is the fallacy of drinking seawater. I will remember his next time I am hungry but complacent because there is a big bag of carrots at hand.

They are like apples in that regard then, I figure.

I'll have to try it on apples.
I like apple slices with a bit of (natural) peanut butter, though - that would unfortunately not have the reverse-satiety effect.

I do the wine thing way too rarely.
I think I need to become more of a wine geek before I understand how to do this well.
